Gah, I hate the heat. It really saps my energy. If you’re thinking that the complaint is leading up to an apology about a short post, well, I won’t deny it. I don’t have a great deal to say apart from updating the goals, so here goes.
For Practice, I kept on fiddling with my ‘eyeball thing’, improving the way the pupil changes size, and adding a not-quite-working iris to the picture.
For Exercise, I started with Week 5 Day 2 of the 100 Pushups. I’ve got to say that the progression got a little wonky today. At the start of the week, I was put into the middle track based on being able to do a max of 40 pushups, but today’s workout involved seven smaller sets spaced 45 seconds apart followed by an eighth where I was supposed to do at least 40. I’m really not sure how that’s supposed to work, but I was only able to manage 25, so I’m expecting to be repeating week 5 again.
After the pushups, I did Week 5 Day 1 of the 200 Squats. In this case, the progression has been difficult, but reasonable. The last set was really tough today, in part because of the heat, and in part because of the fun, fun wind sprints I did at soccer practice last night.
An interesting side effect of progressing through the two exercise programs is that each is taking longer and longer to get done. As a result, they’ve gone from filling 5-10 minutes of my workout into nearly 20. To complete the last 10 minutes, I gave myself a break and stuck with some slow, easy yoga.
That’s it for now, so until tomorrow!
